Do you know that oatmeal is an incredible cleanser for the skin? It has the ability to relieve itchiness, redness of acne, dryness and minor irritations. For supplies, all you will need is plain oatmeal, a sink, and a hand, preferably your own hand. Now, take a hand-full of oatmeal and enclose it into your fist. Run the fist under a sink of running lukewarm water. Keep it there for about 30 seconds then turn the water of and open your hand. Now, squeeze out the water from the oatmeal into your other hand and rub that liquid on your face. This will help open your pores so the oatmeal can fully cleanse. Start rubbing the oats onto your face into circular motions. The circular motion will help get the blood flowing to your face. After a minute of cleansing, wash off with lukewarm water and pat dry.
Afterwards, your skin should feel clean and be glowing, but you are not done yet. Apply a gentle moisturizer to help maintain the subtle glow on your face. If you like the oatmeal on your face, then why stop there! Weekly oatmeal baths can give you softer skin. Just strain out the oatmeal and have the liquid, or use the oats as a scrub.
